Cord Cutting Ceremonies
The Imprinting or Cord Cutting ceremony is to cut or release any old energetic attachments you may have with people you have been intimate with in the past. It is a really good method of clearing your energy field and returning stuff back to their rightful owners. It frees you and the other up and makes you a virgin again...just kidding. When you have sex with someone it is a very intimate exchange of energy fields, which can leave cords attached. One of the functions of the second chakra is relationships and bonding. These cords can affect us many years after and energy can still flow between these current, for example when he/she is feeling bad you may feel it too from across the country and wonder what is wrong with you.
Here are two ceremonies, set aside some time and quiet space for these. This first ceremony is a great thing to do with someone you are breaking up with as an honouring ceremony.
It is a good idea to meditate for a little while before you do these. Take five to ten minutes to ground and center yourself, and also to connect to your heart center.
Ceremony 1 Make a list of all the people you have ever been intimate with...and if you have pictures or things they gave you, you can gather those up those things. Go through the list as if you are talking to each of these people. You can set up the space with you sitting on a chair or pillow facing another pillow where you imagine the other person, and you can create a sacred circle with the intention of lovingly detaching and healing any unfinished business, to set each other free. You need a candle and a knife. Be creative with your circle i.e., calling the gifts of the four directions, using power objects like crystals ect...decorate! When you have your list. Open the circle and connect to the center of the earth, connect to your higher self, you can imagine a pillar of light going from the earth up through you into the sky. Ask your higher self to help you with the ceremony. Call each of the people into the circle with you one at a time. You are intending to connect your higher self with the higher self of the other person. You can remember things you learned together and thank them, say what you need to say, get anything off your chest. From your solar plexus area you can draw a line of light around the other then around you in a figure eight pattern with the center of the eight passing through the candle. When you are ready you can cut through the candle flame with the knife with LOVE...this is very important. It is also very important to listen carefully because sometimes it might not be the right time for the other person. Basically when you cut the cord they have to deal with their shit and you with yours. If it feels wrong to cut the cord just check in with your higher self, ask if it is good idea and listen. This is a beautiful process...I cried a lot mostly because I was simultaneously forgiving others and myself for any bitterness. Feels good to let go!
Ceremony 2 The native, shamanism method emphasizes sensing the cords where they are attached and "doctoring" yourself removing cords and filling in holes in your aura. Again this was an amazing process. You need a candle and a comfy place to be for a while...this one can take a long time so you may want to do it in parts. Again ground yourself and connect to your higher self. Create your circle, ask for any guides or guardians to assist you who ever you want to pray for assistance is fine to ask for support. Light your candle. Ask your higher self to be able to feel with your right or left hand any areas on your body where there may be a cord of energy attached from another to you. Do the front of your body first scanning with your hand. You WILL feel something if it is there, if not just ask that the sensation be turned up. When you feel something, use your nails and fingers, imagine you are removing the cord from your skin. Wrap it up in pink light (LOVE) and then push it out of your aura and explode it.
You can find cords that going from you out to others, others to you. From my experience when I found a cord extending from me to another, I called my energy back to me, like calling your spirit back. The energy came back like one of those vacuums that when you press the button the electrical cord whips back into the vacuum...I could really feel this. Just make sure that the cord comes back through a pink light of love and compassion for yourself.
After cord removal use the candle and scoop the light of the candle onto the spot where the attachment was and pat in on your skin to heal and seal your aura…otherwise you will look like Swiss cheese.
For the back of the body, project yourself behind yourself close your eyes and imagine painting a purple light over your entire back. When you see your own back in your mind you will see the pink spot are the areas where there is a cord. Do the same as above with the cord. Just tell your higher self this is what you are doing and trust what you see. NOW if you want to know whom each cord is attached to, when you find the cord hold your hand there and ask who is this attached to? Wait and listen, turn off your mind and try to let the information come intuitively to you. Again just trust the information you get is accurate. Sometimes we can have cords with people like our parents.
Make sure you seal your aura with the candle-light, and fill your body with light and love. All clean!!!
